WATCH: Raiders QB Gardner Minshew with 54-yard bomb to speedster Tre Tucker

Things were getting exciting in the Raiders’ home opener against the Panthers. Carolina had scored a touchdown on their first drive, but the Raiders were unable to respond. The defense held firm and the Raiders got the ball back at their own three-yard line.

After reaching the 20-yard line, Gardner dropped Minshew back and let it rip. Tre Tucker went wide on a post route and Minshew threw a perfect ball right into his arms on the run, completing it 54 yards.

Minshew and Tucker scored a few of those goals in the preseason, so fans were waiting for them to score one in the regular season.

The Raiders also benefited from the deep connection. A few plays later, Alexander Mattison equalized the score at 7:7 at the start of the second quarter.
