Popular BMW – This is the price at which BMW launches its new X3 – Economy

Munich (dpa/tmn) – The BMW X3 is going into the next round: Instead of classifying it as part of the upcoming fully electric “New Class”, the Bavarians are building their most successful model on a conventional platform. With only moderate growth and a comparatively conservative design, the fourth generation of the SUV will go on sale before winter, according to BMW. Prices will then start at 57,900 euros.

Instead, there is a five-seater that now extends to 4.76 meters, is a little flatter and wider and offers more space inside. The trunk now holds 570 to 1,700 liters – depending on the configuration, 20 to 100 liters more than before. While BMW is thinking about tomorrow on the inside with sensor fields for operation and dazzlingly colored light strips, the engine range is completely in the here and now. The combustion engines are mildly hybridized with a starter generator, but there is no longer an electric version in consideration of the upcoming battery SUV of the “New Class”.

Petrol and diesel and also versions with plug

It starts with a four-cylinder petrol and diesel engine with 153 kW/208 hp or 145 kW/197 hp. BMW has also added a six-cylinder petrol engine with 293 kW/398 hp to its range and announced a new six-cylinder diesel. Of course, the Bavarians are not completely closed to electric driving: there is a plug-in hybrid that can drive up to 90 kilometers without fuel with 220 kW/299 hp.
