SPG Friedburg/Pöndorf confirms strong form once again: 4-0 home win against UFC Rohrbach-Berg – Football Upper Austria – Results, tables and scorers from all OÖ leagues.

The SPG SV Lugstein Cabs Friedburg/Pöndorf has been shining from the top of the LT1 OÖ league since last weekend: The Öbster team leads the table with a slight one-point lead, having played one game more than their direct competitors. Now they had to consolidate this comfortable position with another win in their clash with the promoted team UFC Hama Trucks Rohrbach-Berg. They did this in an impressive manner, defeating the league newcomer 4-0 after ninety minutes.

Hosts gave newcomers a triple slap in the face before half-time

The men from Friedburg were able to impress from the start with their extremely dominant style of play and therefore ensured a clear situation on the pitch early on. With consistent pressure after losing the ball and a corresponding portion of aggressiveness in one-on-one duels, the home team rarely gave their opponents time to catch their breath in the first phase of the game and often settled into their half. It was only after just over twenty minutes that the guests found their way into the party and were able to make the match more open for a good quarter of an hour. But then the pendulum suddenly tipped in Öbster’s favor again when in the 31st minute guest keeper Raphael Hartl was the last man to bring down the onrushing Jonas Reitter and was consequently sent off with a red card. Playing in superior numbers, the Friedburg team made everything clear in the immediate minutes and gave the guest a possible lesson with a triple pack within 180 seconds: Halid Hasonovic with a free kick, Leonard Jigalov and Haris Harba made it 3-0 before the break and caused pain. Thus, it was a kind of preliminary decision in this match.

Lehner’s artistic shot as highlight in round two

The second half is quickly told: The Mühlviertler team fought vehemently with all their might to avoid an even greater defeat, defended with enormous passion and discipline and made it as difficult as possible for the Öbster team to get further scoring opportunities. With the exception of a world-class shot from Marius Lehner, which landed in the corner from a good twenty meters in the 61st minute to make it 4-0, the promoted team completed this task brilliantly throughout. Despite a power play from the home team at times, the score remained the same in the end, allowing SPG Friedburg/Pöndorf to defend their lead in the table in a confident manner.
