Cole Palmer recently joined the growing list of football players naming their all-time greatest players.

Although Palmer is still in the early stages of his career, early indications are that he is well on his way to entering the debate in a few years.

The GOAT debate is one of the most controversial in football, with fans of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo arguing endlessly about who deserves the award.

The two have been on stage together for almost 20 years and have won every trophy there is to win. They have also won 13 Ballon d’Ors between them.

Cole Palmer names his football idols

In an interview with GOAL during the PFA Awards, Palmer was asked to name his GOAT. The Chelsea star named a few football greats he played alongside (Kevin De Bruyne), the best passer (Toni Kroos), the best finisher (Cristiano Ronaldo), the best player in the world right now (Kylian Mbappe) and the best English player of all time (Wayne Rooney).

He then eliminated them one by one until Ronaldo and Messi remained, the latter of whom he chose as his greatest player of all time.

Messi ended his football career in 2022 by winning the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. After moving to Inter Miami, he won his eighth Ballon d’Or, setting a new record.

Jordan chooses between Bryant and James

Short messages also reported that Jordan has decided between LeBron James and the late Kobe Bryant.

The five-time NBA MVP chose Bryant because he had won five NBA titles compared to James’ four. Bryant died in a helicopter crash in January 2020.

James is entering his 22nd season and could win a fifth ring.
