Despite all the changes in the Big Ten, Ohio State has remained the conference’s top seed. Many believe the Buckeyes are the best team in the country, and they have done nothing to disprove that notion in 2024, even if their opponents have not been particularly strong. In Week 4, Ohio State dominated Marshall at home, 49-14.

In the meantime, Michigan State has undergone some profound changes, with the hiring of Jonathan Smith as their new head coach. After three straight wins to start the season, the Spartans played away against Boston College and lost 23-19.
