Paraglider (31) crashed after takeoff from the Hochkönig summit

For unknown reasons, the athlete lost altitude a few meters after takeoff. The man fell with the paraglider into the rocky terrain below.

His companion immediately notified the emergency services after the accident. The rescue helicopter rescued the 31-year-old and took him to the hospital in Schwarzach, police said.
