Leader’s Intention

The Boise fire is being fought with a comprehensive firefighting strategy.

Operations Update: On the west side of the fire, firefighters continue to clear, patrol and chip vegetation along roads. Some damaged roads have been repaired to allow crews to access the edge of the fire. On the east side of the fire, two new spike camps have been constructed to reduce crew travel time. Additionally, new helipads have been created to facilitate the transport of equipment and personnel. Multiple crews will be deployed to the China Creek area to establish a hand line along the edge of the fire.

Weather and fire behaviour:

Drier and warmer weather is expected to return to the region. Due to recent moisture, no significant fire movement is expected. If it continues to get dry, fire activity may increase.
