IHSAA Football Results:Week 1 recap, highlights and stats from across the Indy region

Here are the nominees for week 1:

Gabe Arboles, Westfield: The Ball State veteran recorded seven catches for 138 yards and a touchdown as Class 6A’s No. 4 Westfield defeated No. 3 Center Grove 34-28.

Tanner Aspeslet, Lawrence North: The veteran quarterback completed 13 of 19 passes for 211 yards and scored three touchdowns as the Wildcats defeated Lawrence Central 33-26.
