Penguin Random House announced on Monday (August 26) that the paperback edition of the international bestseller “Spare” will hit shelves on October 24 in the UK and October 22 in the US.

The edition will be published in the UK by Transworld under the Penguin imprint and in North America by Random House US and Random House Canada.

In total, this edition of the book will be published in 16 languages ​​worldwide and will have the same cover as the hardcover edition. According to the publisher, the content will remain unchanged.

When the book was first published on January 10 last year, it sent shockwaves around the world and was accompanied by a torrent of sensational claims and accusations directed at Prince Harry by members of his own family.

The publisher praised the book as the first time Harry had told his life story in such “unvarnished” detail, describing it as “unflinching honesty.”

The celebrated author JR Moehringer acts as ghostwriter. the fastest-selling non-fiction book in the worldof which 1,430,000 copies were sold in the UK, USA and Canada on January 10, 2023 alone.

The previous record was held by Barack Obama’s fourth book, “A Promised Land,” which sold 887,000 copies on the day of its release.

Although it made headlines when it was first published, Spare was beaten in every category after it was nominated for the British Book Awards in May.

Due to sales of more than 700,000 copies in the UK, the book trade magazine The Bookseller Spare the best-selling work of 2023.
