Police investigate overnight shooting on 1st Street in Troy

Troy police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in the 400 block of 1st Street.

They said they arrived at the scene around 1:15 a.m.

Police informed us that an adult male with non-life threatening injuries was found and transported from the scene.

According to authorities, the suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

According to Troy police, a preliminary investigation revealed that the incident occurred in a residential home, that the victim and suspect knew each other, and that the shooting was part of an ongoing dispute.

Police say detectives will continue their investigation to identify and arrest the suspect.
