Why it’s a great series for Lost fans: Many authors for Lost quoted the British science fiction thriller, The Prisoner – a successful 1960s drama that was rebooted as an AMC miniseries in 2009 – as an influence on the series, firstly because it is a mysterious drama set on an island from which there is no escape.
