Actor Gulshan Devaiah gave some personal insights into working with Ranveer Singh on the sets of “Goliyon Ki Raasleela” in an old conversation Ram Leela“. According to him, Ranveer had always behaved like a film star, even before he became a star. “The way he walked even then showed that he saw himself as a star,” explained Gulshan.
During the shooting, Gulshan often gave Ranveer space after the shoot emotional scenes. He recalled how Ranveer would sometimes sit alone in a corner and cry after intense shoots. “He needed that time to himself after an emotional scene,” Gulshan said, adding that his co-star’s passion for his craft was evident in those vulnerable moments. He explained that the process saw Ranveer completely immerse himself in his roles and this sometimes left him emotionally exhausted.

Gulshan also revealed that during the shoot, he sometimes couldn’t keep up with Ranveer’s energy and would step aside to let Ranveer recharge his batteries. “I just walked away to give him space because I wasn’t always on his wavelength,” he said, admitting that Ranveer operates at a different level of intensity.
While some see Ranveer’s larger-than-life personality as a sign of attention-seeking, Gulshan stressed that it is a reflection of how much Ranveer believes in his identity as a film star. This confidence, coupled with his emotional depth, is what makes Ranveer stand out on the set.
