Fantasy League 20 Minutes: Bradley Fink on gaming passion

The Super League is back! After the national team break and the cup weekend, there are several big matches coming up. FC Basel will face FC Zurich at home and Winti will host Young Boys, who are in a massive crisis.

Someone who is currently in good form is FCB striker Bradley Fink. The 21-year-old has two goals and one assist after eight games across all competitions. And the best thing is: Fink is already available for 6.2 million Swiss francs in the 20-minute Fantasy League.

20 minutes spoke to the FCB talent about fantasy football. He reveals that he is a huge fan of the game. He says: “I think it’s a really cool thing. I play the Premier League version.” He is doing well at the moment. Why? Fink laughs and explains: “I have Erling Haaland up front, so not much can go wrong (laughs).”

Fink likes to play. He really started doing it during the Covid period. The current FCB striker played in Borussia Dortmund’s youth team at the time. “There was a complete lockdown in Germany, and I caught the last day to travel to Switzerland,” says Fink. “I think everyone can tell a story about the unsteady sleep pattern,” says Fink with a smile. “But my game skills have certainly made great progress during this time (laughs).”

And in the 20 Minutes Fantasy League: Would he put himself in the team? “It depends. If I’m in the mood, then sure. “Otherwise, I’d definitely sit on the bench in my team,” Fink told 20 Minutes.

FCL shooting star Lars Villiger (21) also talks to 20 minutes about the Fantasy League. Unlike Fink, the Lucerne native is not a hardcore gamer. But he also knows the system from the Fantasy League – not from the Premier League, but from the Bundesliga.

Villiger goes on to reveal which three FCL players he would choose in his 20-minute fantasy team: “I’ll definitely take Pascal Loretz for the saves and clean sheets.” Then Pius Dorn, who always plays 90 minutes, has a lot of ball action and wins duels.” And: “Then I would also choose myself at the moment, because a lot of goal involvements will definitely give you a lot of points!”

And he definitely has that. The 21-year-old has five goals and two assists after eight games across all competitions. But these qualities come at a price: Fantasy League Villiger has already cost 9.2 million francs in 20 minutes.
