WHAT TO EXPECT

This morning it is clear, with patches of fog. We start the day with temperatures around 18 degrees, so about average.

This week, the morning is the best time to go outside as it gets hotter in the afternoon!

This Monday in Knoxville we’ll reach 92 degrees with a light breeze. That’s 5 degrees above average, so avoid the afternoon heat and stay in the shade.

The night will remain clear, with occasional patches of fog, and the lowest temperature in the morning will be 19 degrees.

OUTLOOK

Afternoon temperatures will be above 30 degrees all week long!

On Tuesday it will be around 35 degrees and sunny. On Wednesday the maximum temperature will be around 35 degrees, and on Thursday it will be 35 degrees again. The mornings at the end of the week will be more stuffy with just over 21 degrees, which is also due to the increasing humidity.

Scattered rain is possible in the mountains on Thursday. The latest data indicates scattered to isolated rain and thunderstorms on Friday and Saturday, with the greatest chance of thunderstorms developing and moving through in the afternoon and evening.

Your First Alert 8-day planner calls for a few more thunderstorms Sunday afternoon, but highs will at least be pushed back closer to 90 degrees.
