Yemen says it is ready to deliver a “painful blow” deep into Israeli-occupied territories

Yemen has announced that it will carry out further attacks on targets deep inside the occupied Palestinian territories in response to the Israeli regime’s ongoing deadly atrocities against the Palestinian people and other states in the region.

“The Yemeni armed forces in all their formations are in a state of high readiness to deliver painful blows deep into the Zionist entity,” Yemeni Defense Minister Major General Mohammed Nasser al-Atifi said on Sunday.

“In the military decision-making process, all military determinants were examined and the weaknesses of the Zionist enemy were carefully analyzed,” he added.

“The key points of the Zionist target bank were carefully and precisely identified and subjected to thorough information and intelligence analysis.”

Since October 7, when the regime launched a genocidal war against the Gaza Strip, Yemeni forces have carried out numerous pro-Palestinian attacks against the occupied territories.

They also attacked Israeli ships heading to or leaving the territories in an attempt to force the regime to end its military offensive and the siege it had imposed on the Gaza Strip at the same time.

Al-Atifi reiterated the readiness of the armed forces and said they “have the capabilities and means to carry out accurate and precise strikes.”

He also spoke of the readiness of the Yemeni armed forces and other parts of the regional axis of resistance to respond harshly to the regime’s assassinations of high-ranking resistance fighters. The targeted killing operations that took place late last month resulted in the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, the former head of the political bureau of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, and Fuad Shurk, a senior commander of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah.

“We assure everyone that the response of the axis of jihad and resistance to the crimes of the Zionist enemy is imminent and inevitable,” confirmed the leader of the Ansarullah movement (Abdul Malik al-Houthi), and it will be “a strategic and decisive response,” he said.

Meanwhile, Yemen’s defense minister stressed that the country would make the regime “pay a heavy price” for the attacks it carried out in response to the pro-Palestinian strikes by the armed forces on Yemeni territory.

“The Zionist entity will only experience strength and toughness from us,” he said.

Finally, he downplayed the escalation of the American military presence in support of the regime throughout the region, saying the troop buildup “means nothing, will be met with strength and will inevitably fail miserably.”
