In the 8th round of the regional league, UFC Fehring hosted the Eggendorf/Hartberg Amateurs team. In an exciting game that remained goalless for the entire 94 minutes, neither team managed to take advantage of the decisive chance. Both teams had several opportunities, but strong goalkeeping performances and some misunderstandings in attack ensured that the game ultimately ended in a 0-0 draw.

An intense start without a hit

The party between UFC Fehring and Eggendorf/Hartberg started immediately at a high pace. The first notable action belonged to the hosts from Fehring, who drew attention to themselves with their first shot on goal in the 7th minute.

The guests didn’t let it get them down either and had a good opportunity in the 19th minute when a shot went just wide of the goal. But as the first half progressed, the game lost some of its momentum.

Chance-rich but goalless second half

After the half-time break, play continued without any substitutions and the tension rose again. Both teams tried to increase the tempo and overcome the opponent’s defense.

In the 74th minute, UFC Fehring had a good chance but was unable to put the ball in the goal. Just three minutes later, the hosts had another great chance, but a misunderstanding prevented them from scoring.

The guests were also not without danger and had a promising opportunity in the 83rd minute when a shot from 15 meters narrowly missed the target. But UFC Fehring continued to push for the lead and had another great chance in the 84th minute. However, the Eggendorf/Hartberg goalkeeper made a confident save and prevented the possible goals.

When normal time expired, the score was still 0-0. Four minutes of stoppage time were added, but even that was not enough to decide the game. Despite intense efforts from both sides, the party ended in a goalless draw.
