KB5043186 Windows 11 23H2 [Manueller Download] 22635.4225

If nothing has been released for a while, then it’s less likely that the beta will be released. Today it’s KB 5043186, which increases the version number to Windows 11 23H2 22635.4225. A new addition is a context menu entry that has been added. This allows you to send a file directly to your smartphone.

But not only was the context menu entry added, corrections and improvements were also made.

  • input Fixed an issue that caused the emoji panel to stop working properly in the manual build for some Insiders (it would close after selecting an emoji and it was not possible to switch categories).
  • Settings We’re adding the ability to configure the Copilot key. You can choose whether the Copilot key should launch an app that is MSIX packaged and signed, indicating that the app meets security and privacy requirements to protect customers. The key will continue to launch Copilot on devices that have the Copilot app installed until a customer selects a different experience. This setting can be found in Settings > Personalization > Text input. If the keyboard connected to your PC doesn’t have a Copilot key, adjusting this setting will have no effect.

  • Fixed an issue that caused some Insiders to experience a bugcheck when closing Notepad in the proper build.
  • Windows Installer When an application is repaired, User Account Control (UAC) does not ask for your credentials. After installing this update, User Account Control will ask for the credentials. Because of this, you must update your automation scripts. Application owners must add the shield icon. It indicates that the process requires full administrator access. To disable the UAC prompt, set the registry value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer\DisableLUAInRepair to 1. The changes in this update may affect automatic Windows Installer repairs
  • Group Policy Item Level Targeting (ILT) and Local Users and Groups You cannot select a group from the target domain for ILT. Also, you cannot select an account from Local Users and Groups. The forest is not displayed. This issue occurs when you deploy multiple forests and the target domain has a one-way trust with the administrator’s domain. This issue affects Enhanced Security Admin Environment (ESAE), Hardened Forests (HF), or Privileged Access Management (PAM) deployments.
  • Task Manager Task Manager stops responding when you switch from a high contrast theme to a normal theme.
