In the mood to chat and play – Golf is also part of it: Federer enjoys his new life – Sport

The 2nd Laver Cup is currently taking place in Berlin without Roger Federer on the court. But “Maestro”, the promoter of this competition, is also a big topic. “I’ve started playing golf. Now I have to see how I can keep it up. My children have started too, and so has my wife.”

The 43-year-old is doing the same as many others: Federer’s former rival and buddy Rafael Nadal and Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz regularly pick up the putter. “I still need to practice a bit to be able to keep up.” But Andy Murray has now started too. “He told me we should go and play sometime,” said Federer.

As if the end was only 5 seconds ago…

The 20-time Grand Slam champion will not be bored in his new everyday life. “I also dive, have a lot of time to go on cool trips with the family and travel a lot,” says the 2022 retirer.

“It feels like I ended my career just 5 seconds ago. When I’m standing on the pitch, I’d like to start playing right away.”
