At least eight people were injured in northern Israel in a rocket attack from Lebanon. Israel’s army announced that it had again attacked Hezbollah positions in several places in Lebanon during the night. One of them was a weapons depot.

Israel and Hezbollah: repeated mutual attacks

Since the beginning of the war in the Gaza Strip following the terrorist attack by the Islamist Hamas on October 7, 2023, the Hezbollah militia, which is allied with Hamas, has also been shelling targets in the neighboring north of Israel on a daily basis. The Israeli military, in turn, regularly attacks targets in the neighboring country. There have been deaths on both sides – most of them were members of Hezbollah.

Recognition of new car registrations in the EU

The automobile market in the EU performed poorly in August, according to the European manufacturers’ association ACEA. The number of new registrations fell by 18.3 percent compared to the previous year, mainly due to poorer figures from the major markets of Germany, France and Italy. The manufacturer is demanding “urgent” support from the EU with a view to the stricter CO2 fleet limits that will apply from next year.
