MANILA, Philippines – Police Chief Rommel Marbil said they are currently investigating all 24 former chiefs of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to determine whether they were involved in Alice Guo’s escape from Philippine jurisdiction.

During a Senate Finance subcommittee hearing on Thursday, Senator Robin Padilla asked whether the identity of the former top police officer who allegedly accepted bribes to help Guo and her companions, Shiela and Wesley Guo, leave the country despite an immigration warrant had been established.

“And remember, it’s not just about the entire PNP organization. Peace and order is what we need. Just imagine a former PNP chief. That doesn’t mean we allow the lowest mammal to do that,” Marbil said.

(And remember, it is not just the entire PNP organization that is being affected by his comments. Just imagine if a former PNP chief did not think that we would allow even the lowest mammal to take bribes.)

According to Marbil, they would write a letter to Villanueva specifically asking him to reveal the name of the former top police officer who was allegedly involved in Guo’s escape.

Villanueva’s revelations had previously been criticized by former PNP Chairman Bato dela Rosa, who said the Pagcor official was wrong to disclose the reports he received despite there being no concrete evidence to support this.

“You can’t nail anyone down by intelligence reports because intelligence reports have no evidentiary value and cannot stand up in court. So you can’t do anything wrong, I’ll confirm it. “Vinalidate was confirmed immediately – that’s not all,” Dela Rosa told reporters earlier.

(So I hope they confirmed this information before it was published. They should have validated it thoroughly and after validation, checked the name and published it.)

Dela Rosa has already cleared his name and moved on from the issue.

Guo was the dismissed mayor of Bamban, Tarlac, who is now facing charges of aggravated human trafficking before the Pasig Regional Trial Court and is not eligible for bail.
