Brad Pitt’s “World War Z” gets a new home on streaming

Cinema’s scariest zombies are now available to stream. World War Z can be streamed on Paramount+. With Brad Pitt as Gerry Lee, a former UN employee, World War Z follows Lee around the world as he desperately fights for survival against hordes of sprinting zombies and searches for a cure. Directed by Marc Forster. World War Z also with Mireille Enos, Daniella Kertesz, James Badge Dale, Matthew Fox, Fana Mokoena and Matthew Fox.

World War Z received good reviews when it was released in 2013. The action/horror blockbuster has a critics’ score of 67% and a slightly better audience score of 72%. Not only is it the rare film where Pitt takes the spotlight without other A-list actors around him, World War Z is known for the most terrifying zombies in cinema history. The zombies in World War Z are not as smart as those in Land of the Deadnor do they tear people to pieces like in the Return of the living dead franchise. Instead, they are the fastest zombies ever. Don’t bother running away from these undead nightmares, because they sprint towards their prey like Usain Bolt and climb over each other to infect people with their virus.

World War Z is an incredibly free adaptation of the 2006 novel by Max Brooks. In contrast to the film, which is a pure action film, World War Z The novel reads like a journalistic report in which an interviewer travels around the world and talks to people who experienced strange phenomena in the run-up to the outbreak. As entertaining as World War Z Fans of Brooks’ novel are still hoping for a District 9-Style, authentic adaptation in the future.

Are we getting a World War Z 2?

In addition to good reviews, World War Z was a box office success, grossing $540 million on a budget of $190 million. It is currently available as the highest-grossing zombie film of all time. While the post-apocalyptic zombie genre had its heyday in the 00s and early 2010s, the recent successes of The Last of Us And Stand out have revived interest in the genre. Perhaps now is the right time for a sequel.

Due to the box office success, rumors circulated about World War Z 2 since the release of the original. Brad Pitt has previously said that he would like to be chased by attacking zombies again in the future. At one point Fight Club Director David Fincher was chosen to direct the sequel. However, there are conflicting reports about the reasons for the cancellation of the sequel.

The prevailing report suggests that Fincher’s proposed budget was far above what Paramount wanted to spend, and that The film was shelved in favor of financing from Paramount. Mission: Impossible Films. Other theories suggest that the film was shelved due to the ban on paranormal films in China. This is the same reason why films like Zombieland And Exit were never released in China. The country is the largest cinema market outside the USA
