Last season, they missed the final after losing in the semifinals to Stuttgart Surge. If there had been a meeting with Fire: The Rhinelanders triumphed in the 2023 final against Stuttgart with 53:34 and were otherwise the first ELF team ever to defend their title.

The Vienna Vikings have played their second perfect regular season in a row with twelve wins and no losses. Unlike last year, however, this time they also managed to win in the semifinals against the Paris Musketeers (47:31).

Rhein Fire had a bumpy start to the season and suffered a home defeat against Madrid Bravos on the third matchday. However, towards the end the team regained the dominance of the previous year and is in top form for the final.
