There is huge interest in “You won’t win a million with Stefan Raab”. But not all subscribers get their money’s worth.

Cologne – Just a few days after his boxing match against Regina Halmich (47), Stefan Raab (57) is making his TV comeback with his new employer RTL. However, this is not on television, but has been available since Wednesday evening (September 18) on the in-house streaming service RTL+. But the start was far less pleasant than planned for some subscribers.

Everything is actually set up for an entertaining evening of shows: For “Du gewinnst hier nicht die Million bei Stefan Raab” the entertainer has lured the long-standing “TV total” house band to the Cologne station. The beginning of the show is correspondingly nostalgic: Raab sings his hit “Pa aufs Maul” and then provides plenty of laughs for a good half hour with all kinds of jokes and sideswipes.

However, some viewers are unaware of this: The interest in Stefan Raab’s new show seems to be so great that the streaming provider is temporarily overloaded. For many fans, the stream keeps crashing, and the picture quality leaves a lot to be desired. For some, the show doesn’t even start. “Is anyone else having problems with the stream?” or “Our broadcast is crashing, is it crashing for you too?”, several RTL+ users asked on Instagram. Some seem to have already given up hope: “If it goes like this, I’m fed up,” says one comment.

A similar picture can be seen on X: “What kind of crap is this, RTL+?” Two minutes of still images, two seconds of alternating streams. And now nothing works. I’m not paying for that again,” says one disappointed viewer, venting his anger. Undecided viewers who have not yet taken out a subscription with the streaming provider are (for the time being) backing out in view of these technical problems: “Luckily I haven’t paid anything yet,” says one user.

Concerns that “You won’t win the million with Stefan Raab” is running non-stop, but at the same time there is a lot of discussion about the new show, which feels like a mixture of “TV total” and “Beat the Raab”. There is disagreement about this. “Raab is still number one,” enthuses one fan, while another strongly disagrees: “I have rarely laughed so little.” But Saturday’s fight is still on everyone’s lips: after it, Regina Halmich openly criticized Stefan Raab.
