Rackspace Technology announces offering to promote rapid migrations to AWS

RRMO offers a comprehensive set of services that includes migration planning, landing zone setup, migration execution, and 24×7 support for day-two cloud operations with monitoring and incident response. This unique offering features technical and architectural support from Rackspace Technology, along with RiverMeadow Software Inc., a leader in workload mobility automation and services, and MontyCloud, an autonomous cloud operations platform company. RRMO delivers this comprehensive migration solution with a seamless customer experience to accelerate migration to AWS.

RRMO also includes a two-month trial for day-two cloud operations as additional post-migration support through the Rackspace Modern Operations service. Customers receive 24×7 monitoring and incident response, access to on-demand cloud engineers, troubleshooting support, technical reviews, and more.

RRMO phases
Quick review: Free migration assessment with a solutions architect to capture high-level migration details and scope, review Rackspace services, features and migration strategies, and determine if you are a candidate for this mandated offering or if a more tailored approach is more appropriate.

Mobilization: Conduct detailed exploration and migration planning workshops and develop the foundation (landing zone) that will leverage and govern your environment.

Migration and modernization: Perform the migration by moving workloads to AWS Elastic Compute Capacity (EC2) instances according to the agreed migration plan. Based on the insights from the discovery analysis, OS modernization is also available to upgrade workloads to newer OS versions – all in a single fluid operation. Modernizing the OS as part of your migration lowers your costs, increases your return on investment, and potentially reduces the risk of working with outdated OS or SQL versions.

Operation: Day 2 operations tool to align your environment with best practices.
