EA FC expert leaks huge feature in the new game that will completely change online matches

The new features change everything.

A leading EA FC expert has revealed a leaked set of huge features coming to this year’s game that will change all that.

In just over a week, fans will be able to get their hands on the latest installment in the EA SPORTS FC series, as the 2025 game launches on September 27th.

The latest installment of the popular football video game will introduce many new features, including a brand new five-a-side mode that can be played in Kickoff, Clubs, Career and Ultimate Team modes.

And now another massive feature has been revealed by an EA FC expert that will send shockwaves through the community and completely change the way every game is played

The expert posted the news on X and revealed that leaving matches early will not change a player’s form, meaning their skill-based matchmaking will not be affected.

The loss will still be reflected in the player’s record if they leave the game early, but they will not benefit from being matched against someone with the same number of losses as themselves if they decide to leave games early.

This measure was apparently introduced to counteract the angry premature abandonment of matches, which has become quite common in the EA SPORTS FC series.

The expert later added that this feature will 100% be available for matches in the online live friendly mode, but it has not been confirmed for the popular Division Rivals or Ultimate Team Champions modes.

However, EA’s official update announcing the change in Friendly Mode makes it clear that a similar system will be used for Ultimate Team.

This news comes alongside other massive changes to Ultimate Team mode, particularly in the highly competitive FUT Champs, which offers players the best rewards.

In EA SPORTS FC 25, gamers only have to complete 15 matches in the FUT Champs, significantly fewer than the 40 matches that were necessary just a few years ago.

All championship matches must be played on one weekend, so EA reduced the total from 40 to 30, then to 20, and now in the latest game to just 15.
