The recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies of Gramin Dak Sevak in 23 districts across the country. The recruitment will be done state-wise with a different number of posts being allotted to each state including 2,718 posts in Rajasthan, 2,558 in Bihar, 4,588 in Uttar Pradesh, 4,011 in Madhya Pradesh and 1,338 in Chhattisgarh.

Post Office GDS Recruitment 2024: Selection Process

The selection of candidates is done on the basis of marks obtained in class 10. A topper list is prepared state-wise or district-wise. After that, the candidates are asked for document verification.

GDS recruitment at Post 2024: eligibility and age limit

Candidates who have completed 10th standard from a recognized school are eligible to apply. Knowledge of cycling and computer usage is required. The age of candidates must be between 18 and 32 years on August 5, 2024. Reserved categories are exempted from the upper age limit as per government rules.

Post Office GDS Recruitment 2024: Application Fee

Candidates belonging to General, OBC and EWS categories have to pay an application fee of Rs 100. For SC, ST, PwD and women candidates, the application is free.
