Tennis – Hofmann is three-time club champion of TK Türnitz

In the individual competitions, Markus Hofmann won the men’s event and Sandra Punz the women’s event. Hofmann was able to prevail against Michael Gassner in the final. The women’s doubles final was particularly noteworthy, in which Claudia Horvath and Sabine Kausl prevailed in a nerve-racking match against Lisa and Nina Kausl.

In addition to the singles title, Hofmann also won the men’s doubles with Roman Kaltenberger and the mixed doubles with Johanna Schiffert. Herbert Böhm was victorious in the men’s B competition after an exciting final against Florian Pöll. In the youth competitions, Emilie Kausl and Mateo Punz were in a class of their own and each secured the club championship title in the singles. Punz was also unbeatable in the doubles with his doubles partner Felix Kausl.

Club chairman Alexander Kausl was delighted with the regular participation in the championships. “The event marked another seasonal highlight in the club life of TK Türnitz and underlined the popularity of tennis for young and old in our community.”
