Beta 4 for iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 is now available for download from Apple’s servers. However, it cannot be downloaded and installed by all users, only by registered developers. The main attraction of the X.1 update is undoubtedly “Apple Intelligence”.

Apple releases Beta 4 for iOS 18.1 & iPadOS 18.1

Apple released Beta 4 for iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 a few moments ago. This year, Apple decided to take an unusual approach. Parallel to the beta phase for iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, Apple had already opened the beta phase for iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1. Apple Intelligence will not be part of iOS 18.0 and iPadOS 18.0, but will only be added with the X.1 updates. This approach gives developers the opportunity to start working with Apple Intelligence.

The easiest way to install Beta 4 for iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 is directly on the iPhone or iPad via Settings -> General -> Software Updates -> Beta Updates. However, the Apple ID of your developer account must be linked to the device.

Apple released the latest version of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 earlier this week.
