The suspect in Hugo’s murder has been arrested, authorities confirm

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 45-year-old Trevor Joseph Wunderlich, a person of interest in the Hugo murder case, has been arrested.

According to the sheriff’s office, at 5:55 p.m. Monday, an emergency medical technician was called to a home in the 15900 block of Ingersoll Avenue North in Hugo for an unknown medical incident.

When they arrived, Washington County officers found a 68-year-old woman with serious injuries. The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment but later died.

Her death is now being investigated as a homicide.

Wunderlich was named as a person of interest by the sheriff’s office on Monday.
