Wardenburg/Bremse – The young tennis player Jan Beyersdorff (born 2015) from SV Brake is the regional champion. As a player from the younger year, he secured the title in Wardenburg at the Jade-Weser-Hunte region’s youth championships in the U10 age group (born 2014). Lotta Stüdemann (born 2015) from TK Nordenham also came out on top: she won the runner-up title in the U10 and U9 age group competition on the large field – also as a player from the younger year.

In a full field of eight, Jan Beyersdorff and his teammate Lucas Schmid from SG Huder TV were the only younger participants. They met in the opening match. In the duel between the two regional squad players, Jan won 6:2/6:2. He then met Casper Beckmann from Oldenburger TB, seeded second, whom he also defeated 6:2/6:2. In the evenly matched final against Luuk Ahrens from TC BW Delmenhorst, who is one year older, Jan won 6:3/7:5.

Lotta Stüdemann was the only younger participant among the five girls in the U10 age group. She won three of her four games. Her only defeat was against her training colleague from the regional squad, Heidi Meyer from TV GW Bad Zwischenahn (3:6/5:7). That meant second place.

In the small-field competitions in the U8 and U7 age groups, the children had to complete a general motor skills section beforehand, which was included in the evaluation. Vivien Muric (born 2016) from TK Nordenham was the only participant from Wesermarsch to take fourth place among twelve children in the U8 age group. A total of 37 children took part in the championships in Wardenburg – 26 boys and eleven girls.
