Florida Democrat supports abortion “to the end”

The former chairwoman of the Florida Democratic Party was secretly filmed advocating for abortions “up to the end” of pregnancy at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago last month.

The video was provided to The Daily Signal last week after Vice President Kamala Harris declared during the presidential debate that women would no longer have late-term abortions.

Late abortions are abortions in the third trimester of pregnancy, when the baby can survive outside the womb and feel pain.

“Nowhere in America is there a woman who carries a pregnancy to term and then asks for an abortion – that doesn’t happen,” Harris said last Tuesday in her debate with former President Donald Trump moderated by ABC News.

But undercover video from Democratic Delegate Terrie Rizzo, chair of the Palm Beach County Democratic Party and former chair of the state party, shows that not all Democrats agree.

When asked by an undercover attendee at the Chicago convention, Rizzo signaled her support for abortion after 40 weeks of pregnancy, the length of most pregnancies.

When asked if she supported abortions “as late as possible,” Rizzo replied, “Oh, yes.”

Rizzo’s Facebook page features a photo of her next to Harris.

Rizzo did not respond to requests for comment after The Daily Signal left her a message at the Palm Beach County Democratic Party and also sent her a message on Facebook.

During the conversation with the undercover congressman, Rizzo said: “Normally there are conditions for [abortion] after six months or after three doctors, something like that.”

The Democrat from Florida then said that late-term abortion was acceptable because the unborn child was not yet a human baby.

“It’s not a person yet,” Rizzo said.

Rizzo’s public Facebook page prominently features a photo of her with Harris.

During the Democratic National Convention, she posted photos of herself with many other well-known Democrats, including Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
