Leak reveals the next Pixel smartphones

Erst im August 2024 brachte Google vier frische Pixel-Smartphones in die Regale: das neue Top-Modell Pixel 9 Pro XL as well as the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and the[–>[–>Pixel 9 Pro FoldAndroid Headlines assume that its successor – the Pixel 9a – can also be expected next year in May as part of the Google Keynote. The Pixel 10 series with four new models is expected to follow later in the year.

Vier neue Pixel-10-Modelle in 2025

Dem Bericht zufolge trägt das Pixel 9a den Codenamen Tegu. Dabei handelt es sich um eine in Mittel- und Südamerika vorkommende Echsenart. Damit bleibt Google dem Reptilienthema treu, das der Suchmaschinenanbieter für seine Pixel-9-Serie gewählt hatte. Das Pixel 9 trug beispielsweise den Codenamen “Tokay” (Gecko), während das Pixel 9 Pro XL “Komodo” (Waran) hieß.

Mit der Pixel-10-Serie widmet sich Google nun offenbar dem Thema Pferd. Die kursierenden Codenamen verraten, welche Modelle im kommenden Jahr zu erwarten sind:

  • Frankel: Pixel 10
  • Blazer: Pixel 10 Pro
  • Mustang: Pixel 10 Pro XL
  • Rango: Pixel 10 Pro Fold

Den durchgesickerten Codenamen zufolge scheint Google entschlossen, auch im Jahr 2025 mit dem Pixel 10 Pro ein handlicheres Flaggschiff-Modell herausbringen zu wollen, obgleich derzeit noch nicht vollends absehbar ist, wie gut sich der Newcomer Pixel 9 Pro will beat the sales. The company is clearly reacting to the positive feedback from customers.[–>9to5Google also assumes that the Pixel 10 series models will receive new chips that will be manufactured using TSMC’s more advanced process.
