Jamaican international for Yverdon

Dexter Lembikisa is joining Super League club Yverdon on loan for this season. The Vaudois club have signed the 20-year-old Jamaican right-back from Premier League club Wolverhampton. The 10-time international most recently played on loan for Scottish representative Heart of Midlothian.

Operation at Zurich’s Tsawa

FC Zurich will have to do without midfielder Cheveyo Tsawa for several weeks. The 17-year-old suffered a broken nose and a fractured right eye socket in a violent collision in the cup match in Le Locle on Saturday. Tsawa will have to undergo an operation.

Bellinzona drops to 5th place

The Swiss Football League’s appeals court has confirmed the decision of the disciplinary committee to convert AC Bellinzona’s 2-1 victory against Wil in the first round of the Challenge League into a 0-3 defeat. Bellinzona had listed 8 non-locally trained players on the match sheet instead of the maximum permitted 7. Bellinzona drops from 2nd to 5th place, while Wil improves from 10th to 7th place.
