Bellinzona drops to 5th place

The Swiss Football League’s appeals court has confirmed the decision of the disciplinary committee to convert AC Bellinzona’s 2-1 victory against Wil in the 1st round of the Challenge League into a 0-3 defeat. Bellinzona had listed 8 non-locally trained players on the match sheet instead of the maximum permitted 7. As the decision is now legally binding, the Challenge League rankings have been adjusted. Bellinzona drops from 2nd to 5th place, while Wil improves from 10th to 7th place.
