Fixing botched configuration: Windows classic gets superpowers after 25 years

SuperMSConfig focuses less on changing startup parameters or disabling device drivers, but sees itself as a comprehensive system checker. For example, it lets you uncover nervous habits and services in Windows and even uninstall them.

Once you have arrived in the portable application, you can use the menu item “Check” initiate a system check or make settings. Here you can also select the option to search for individual apps, services and advertisements from Windows.

After the tool has scanned your computer, bad or unnecessary configurations are shown in red and appropriate configurations are shown in gray, along with a description and system path. You can then mark the unusable configurations and correct them using the “Fix Selected” option.

The tool was originally developed as a plug-in for the XD-AntiSpy application, which, like BloatyNosy, can be selected as a configuration source.
