Tennis star Jannik Sinner’s team is growing: As the Italian announced, he is bringing both a new athletic trainer and a new physiotherapist on board.

Jannik Sinner’s doping case has not only shaken the tennis world, but has also led to a rift in his personal team. The 23-year-old parted ways with both his physiotherapist Giacomo Naldi and his athletic trainer Umberto Ferrara.

Now Sinner has filled the vacant positions, as he announced on Instagram on Monday: Marco Panichi will be the new athletic trainer, Ulises Bandio will take on the role of physiotherapist. “Welcome to the team,” wrote the world number one under a selfie that he posted.

Panichi worked with Djokovic for a long time

One very well-known face is Panichi. The Roman has worked with none other than Novak Djokovic for the past five years. Panichi and Djokovic only parted ways in May of this year.

The Argentinian Bandio has also coached superstar Djokovic in the past. The newly formed team will now travel to Asia shortly. The next tournaments are scheduled to take place in Beijing and Shanghai.
