On National Cheeseburger Day there are great offers from fast food chains

If you’re looking to satisfy your cheeseburger cravings for less this week, you’re in luck.

McDonald’s is offering double cheeseburgers for 50 cents on Wednesday for National Cheeseburger Day. The offer is only available in the McDonald’s app.

They’re not the only ones. Burger King and Wendy’s are also reportedly offering special deals to their customers this week.

According to an announcement by People magazine, BK is giving Royal Perks members a cheeseburger with every purchase on September 18th.

Wendy’s is offering a multi-day deal where customers can get a Junior Bacon Cheeseburger for 1 cent with any purchase. Wendy’s customers must also use the chain’s app, People reports.

Neither BK nor Wendy’s immediately responded to FOX Business’ request for comment.

The city of Pasadena, California, is considered the birthplace of the American cheeseburger. In 1924, 16-year-old Lionel Clark Sternberger was working at his father’s street burger stand called The Rite Spot when he would either “slap on a slice of cheese” to cover up a burnt patty or accommodate a customer’s request, according to the nonprofit organization Visit Pasadena.

Fast-food chains are testing various promotions, giveaways and menu changes to attract customers who have struggled due to ongoing inflation.

In July, McDonald’s reported a Decline in sales for the first time in years as it struggled to attract cash-strapped customers due to higher menu prices.

According to LSEG data, global sales fell 1 percent in the second quarter, the first decline in 13 quarters. The average analyst estimate was 0.53 percent.
