WWE Bad Blood: Another big title match planned

WWE Bad Blood: Another big title match planned

On Friday at SmackDown, WWE officially announced a special tag team match for the upcoming premium live event.

At “Bad Blood,” longtime rivals Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will team up to face the Bloodline (Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu).

In addition, a match for the WWE Women’s Championship has been made official: Nia Jax will put her title on the line. In the next SmackDown episode, both Bayley and Nia Jax will have the chance to win this title match through a possible pinfall in the tag team match against Jax and Tiffany Stratton.

Title match with Gunther is planned for WWE Bad Blood

With the already announced Raw matches for “Bad Blood”, five matches were already confirmed – as many as the team around Paul Levesque has planned for every event since WrestleMania (with the exception of SummerSlam).

But there is a surprise: According to the “Wrestling Observer”, a sixth match is planned for the major event on October 5th: Here, Sami Zayn will get his chance at the World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther. Gunther had recently turned down the pairing, but that should soon change.

If Gunther vs. Zayn actually makes it onto the card, the line-up for “Bad Blood” looks like this:

  • Hell in a Cell Match: CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre
  • Tag Team Match: Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu
  • Women’s World Championship Match: Liv Morgan (c) vs. Rhea Ripley
  • Match for the WWE Women’s Championship: Nia Jax (c) vs. possibly Bayley OR Naomi
  • Singles Match: Damian Priest vs. Finn Bálor
  • Not yet official – Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Gunther (c) vs. Sami Zayn

This line-up – including Gunther vs. Sami – is impressive!

In Germany, “Bad Blood” will be broadcast live and exclusively on the WWE Network (subscription required). The broadcast begins at midnight on Sunday, October 6th. Afterward, the event will of course also be available on demand at any time.
