As a new Valorant player, you may have found Riot Games’ complex first-person shooter mechanics challenging. However, for mobile gamers, that may soon change. According to leaks, upcoming mobile Valorant features will be designed to provide a more accessible experience and help new players gradually get used to the game’s mechanics. These features are designed to ensure that newcomers have a smoother learning curve when the game is ported to mobile platforms.

The main goal of these features is to help mobile gamers get used to the fast-paced gameplay of Valorant when it officially launches on mobile. Mobile players, especially those unfamiliar with competitive first-person shooters, will have access to tools that make the transition from casual to competitive play more seamless. While these new features are available on mobile, they aim to maintain the core tactical shooter elements that define Valorant on PC.

What is known so far?

Recent leaks have revealed test footage of an advanced training mode, one of the most exciting new features coming to Valorant Mobile. This mode includes tutorials on techniques like the “Jump Peek,” a key maneuver that allows players to reveal an opponent’s location without putting themselves in too much danger. This technique involves quickly jumping around a corner to trick opponents into firing, forcing them to reveal their position. While this feature is considered a demanding skill when playing on PC, it’s being adapted to make it easier for mobile players to learn and master.

The Jump Peek is particularly effective against opponents using the powerful sniper rifle, the Operator. This technique allows players to safely fire shots and alert their team to the sniper’s presence. This tactic is also useful in post-plant situations, where it can distract defenders attempting to defuse the spike under time pressure. In the PC version of Valorant, players often had to learn this through live matches, as the existing practice mode didn’t allow for much interaction with bots.

In contrast, Valorant Mobile’s advanced training mode promises players the opportunity to practice jump look in a controlled environment before using it in real matches.
