Nintendo Switch 2 rumor reveals console colors

Nintendo Switch 2 rumor reveals console colors

A new rumor about the Nintendo Switch 2 has appeared on the Internet.

Following a rumor from last week that revealed the potential price of the Nintendo Switch 2, another rumor has now surfaced that claims to reveal the colors of the console. According to the rumor, the console will simply be called the Switch 2, as it has been called online over the years. In addition, it is claimed that production of the console has begun, which should mean that a reveal will happen very soon to avoid a leak from the production line.

More interesting than those two tidbits, however, is a detail that the report omits. It claims that the console will have black and white Joy-Cons. Now, it’s unclear – mostly because this is done through a translation from Chinese – whether that means one Joy-Con will be white and the other black, or whether there will be two color options. Either way, black would be new for the Nintendo Switch. We’ve seen white Joy-Cons via the Nintendo Switch OLED, but no black Joy-Con has appeared yet.

The source of this new rumor comes from the popular Chinese forum Famiboards and comes from an anonymous source. There is currently no way to verify or disprove the rumor’s claims, so you should take everything here with a grain of salt as it is unfortunately likely not true. However, there have been random, accurate leaks on Famiboards over the years, which is why the forum still garners attention whenever a new rumor emerges from it.

At the time of publication, Nintendo has not commented on this rumor in any way. The company very rarely comments on rumors, so we don’t expect this to change. However, if it does change, we will update the story with anything it has to say, relevant or not.
