Novak Djokovic bans his children from using mobile phones

Tennis star Novak Djokovic has a clear stance on his children’s cell phone use. He has decided that his two offspring Stefan (9) and Tara (7) are not allowed to have their own cell phones!

This unusual rule was revealed during a television interview with the Serbian broadcaster Blic. Despite the fact that many of their schoolmates already have a mobile phone, Djokovic’s children remain excluded from this.

The “Djoker” justified his decision with the challenges of the modern world: “Today’s generation has many more challenges than before,” said the tennis star. He is referring in particular to social networks and the constant distraction caused by smartphones.

Despite his children’s displeasure, Djokovic does not plan to change this rule any time soon: “We are a little stubborn about it,” he openly admits. He also stresses that it is not always right to change your behavior just because everyone else is doing it.

It will be exciting to see how long Djokovic and his wife Jelena can follow this strict rule. It is quite possible that this task will be more difficult than the one on the tennis court…
