Police check woman in EuroCity in Saxony, then click on the handcuffs

Dresden- Federal police officers checked a woman on the EuroCity train heading towards Prague who had an arrest warrant against her for drunk driving.

During the inspection last Saturday at around 1:20 p.m., it turned out that the Regensburg District Court had legally sentenced the Hungarian woman to a fine of 3,696 euros in 2023.

But the amount had not yet been paid and the police had to temporarily arrest the woman.

Since the lady had to expect a prison sentence of 42 days, she was willing to pay the fine.

However, she was still missing 84 euros of the demanded amount, which fortunately a friend was able to pay at a neighboring federal police station.

The Hungarian woman was thus also spared a stay in prison.
