Berlin/Potsdam (dpa/bb) – Rain showers and clouds will dominate the weather at the start of the new week in Berlin and Brandenburg. The German Weather Service (DWD) has announced that there will be some heavy rain until midday. Rainfall amounts of between 15 and 25 liters per square meter are expected from Berlin to the south of Brandenburg. In the border area with Saxony, values ​​of around 30 liters per square meter are possible. The rain will subside in the afternoon and then clear up again in the evening. Temperatures will be between 18 and 21 degrees.

According to the forecast, there will be low cloud cover in some areas overnight into Tuesday, with clearing up from the east. It will remain dry – with lows between 12 and 14 degrees.

According to the DWD, Tuesday will be mostly clear to sunny, with only a few clouds initially appearing in the west. No further rain is expected. Temperatures will climb to highs of between 24 and 26 degrees.

At night it will remain mostly clear, with lower cloud fields forming in places. Temperatures will fall to between 10 and 14 degrees.
