Trade fairs – IAA Transportation starts with press day – Auto & Mobil

Hanover (dpa) – Amid growing concerns about the automotive industry, the international commercial vehicle industry is meeting in Hanover starting today. At the IAA Transportation, more than 1,650 exhibitors from 41 countries will be presenting their innovations until September 22nd – initially for a trade audience and journalists.

After a press day, the trade fair will be officially opened on Tuesday by Federal Transport Minister Volker Wissing (FDP) and Lower Saxony’s Prime Minister Stephan Weil (SPD). Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck (Greens) is also expected to attend on Wednesday.

According to the organizer, the Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), Daimler Truck, Scania and Volvo Trucks will present their latest electric and hydrogen-powered trucks. Tesla will also be represented with its semi-truck.
