The Dallas Cowboys suffered a disgrace on the second day of the NFL season. The franchise was badly humiliated in their first home game against the New Orleans Saints and was beaten 44:19.

The Cowboys had previously won all of their previous 16 games in front of their home crowd during the regular season. But this time, “America’s Team” was off the mark from the start.

Everything was already decided at halftime. The visitors were already leading 35:16. Running back Alvin Kamara was the main force behind Dallas. He ran and caught passes for an outstanding 180 yards and scored four touchdowns.

Saints quarterback Derek Carr only had to attempt 16 passes in the entire game, eleven of which were completed for 243 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran into the end zone for one yard. Carr also threw an interception.

Dak Prescott, the league’s new record-breaking quarterback, had a weak day. Although he ended up with 293 yards and a 65-yard touchdown pass to CeeDee Lamb to make the score 13:21, he was largely responsible for the debacle with two interceptions.

For Dallas, it was a bitter setback a week after the strong 33:17 win against the Cleveland Browns. The Saints, on the other hand, followed up with a 47:10 win against the Carolina Panthers. This is the first time since 2018 that they have scored at least 40 points in two games in a row.

The San Francisco 49ers are also playing alongside the Cowboys. Without superstar running back Christian McCaffrey, they lost 17:23 to the Minnesota Vikings. Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson was outstanding.

The star caught a pass and delivered 97 yards into the end zone to make it 10-0.
