Police in South Carolina found several bodies in the vehicle

The bodies of two adult men were found late Saturday night in South Carolina. According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, the deaths are being investigated as a double homicide.

At around 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 300 block of Koon Store Road, the sheriff’s department said in a news release Sunday afternoon. This is a more rural part of Columbia between US 21/Wilson Boulevard and SC 215/Monticello Road.

According to the press release, officers found the bodies in a vehicle.

The identities of the men the sheriff’s office described as murder victims have not been publicly released by the Richland County coroner’s office.

No further injuries were reported.

There was no information on a shooter or shooters or whether anyone else was involved in the shooting. Information on the motive for the shooting was not available.

The sheriff’s department reported no arrests and said the investigation into the deaths was ongoing.
