Man arrested after early morning shooting

JONESBORO, Arkansas (KAIT) – A Memphis man was arrested following an early morning shooting.

Jonesboro Police arrested 27-year-old Jessie James McDuffy following a shooting on Phillip Evans Parkway around 3 a.m. on Sunday, September 15.

McDuffy is listed on the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office’s online jail roster on charges of first-degree assault and aiding and abetting the commission of crimes by other agencies.

According to JPD, one person went to a local hospital to be treated for an apparent gunshot wound.

A second person also said they were seeking trauma treatment related to the shooting.

Police said there were no other victims at the scene when officers arrived.

There is no information about the condition of the two people who were hospitalized.
