In the official synopsis for the season, Mann reads: “With the looming threat of the Kansas City Mafia and a very powerful local enemy, Dwight struggles to protect his family and crew while keeping an eye on all of his affairs. He also has a score to settle in New York…

Recurring alongside Sly are: Martin Starr as Bodhi, Jay Will as Tyson, Max Casella as Armand, Vincent Piazza as Vince, Tatiana Zappardino as Tina, Annabella Sciorra as Joanne, Domenick Lombardozzi as Chickie, Andrea Savage as Stacy, Garrett Hedlund as Mitch and Dana Delany as Margaret.

Two new signings are Frank Grillo (Kingdom) as Kansas City gangster Bill Bevilaqua and Neal McDonough (Arrow, Band Of Brothers) as the no less dangerous Cal Thresher.

There is also a change behind the scenes, as producer and writer Winter resigned due to creative differences, meaning the new episodes were produced without a traditional showrunner. The question is: will there be a noticeable difference?
