Haaland madness! No one has ever achieved this

That’s a record! Erling Haaland has already scored nine goals in the first four games of the season. No one in the history of the Premier League has scored as many goals in the early stages of a season as the exceptional Manchester City striker.

The 24-year-old scored twice within 13 minutes on Saturday afternoon.

After just 23 seconds, it was the fastest goal of the young Premier League season, as ManCity fell behind thanks to a goal by Yoane Wissa. The attacker from the sixth-placed team took advantage of a mistake by City defender John Stones to give the underdogs an early lead.

Brentford remained dangerous after the game. Just three minutes later, Bryan Mbeumo had the chance to increase the lead, but was disrupted at the last moment.

But the English champions grew stronger and were able to rely on their star striker again. In the 19th minute, Haaland equalized to 1-1 after assists from Kevin DeBruyne, and a short time later he turned the game around after a long kick from Ederson. They went into the dressing rooms with a 2-1 lead.

After the break, Brentford goalkeeper Mark Flekken was able to distinguish himself several times. Savinho, Jack Grealish and Haaland were all thwarted by the former Freiburg player’s strong saves. Neither team managed to score again, so the score remained 2-1 for City.

With his eighth and ninth goals of the season, Haaland not only shot his club to their fourth win in four games, but also put himself in the history books. On the first matchday, in the 2-0 win against Chelsea FC, the Norwegian scored a goal, and in the two following games against Ipswich Town and West Ham United, Haaland even scored a hat trick.

He has therefore played a key role in the Citizens’ good start to the season. With a full point haul after the first four games, the defending champions remain at the top of the table.

Liverpool FC, who were level on points with City before the matchday, suffered a similar setback. After a 0-0 draw at half-time, the Reds lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest thanks to a goal from Callum James Hudson-Odoi in the 72nd minute.

Liverpool may have been the visually superior team, but they lacked the necessary offensive power and thus suffered the first setback in the championship battle.
