SV Lafnitz II and UFC Fehring met in a thrilling match in the 7th round of the regional league. The game – played under adverse conditions – ended in a 2:2 draw. While the hosts initially took the lead, the guests from Fehring were able to come back again and again and secure a point.

Early lead for the home team

The hosts scored their first goal of the evening in the 17th minute. Christoph Prasch scored for SV Lafnitz II and gave his team a 1-0 lead. UFC Fehring, however, was unfazed and worked continuously to respond. In the 34th minute, Jan Marcijus finally managed to equalize for the guests. With a precise shot, he brought the game back to the same level.

A varied second half

After the break, the exciting duel continued. In the 59th minute, SV Lafnitz II took the lead again. Edon Murataj scored the 2:1 for the home team and made the fans cheer again. But even after this setback, UFC Fehring showed morale and stayed in the game.

The final phase became increasingly intense and dramatic. In the 85th minute, Marco Lindner finally managed to equalize for UFC Fehring. In the final minutes of the match, both teams tried to score the decisive goal, but without success.

Benjamin Posch (Lafnitz coach): “It was a game under extreme conditions, the wind was crazy.” In my opinion, we had more of the game throughout the game, but Fehring had the clearer chances to score, especially towards the end. So it was a fair draw. I am extremely proud of our young team today. With an average age of 18.42 years, they threw themselves into every duel, tried to stay calm when they had the ball and not let the external circumstances distract them. We have set a new standard for ourselves and we need to confirm this in the coming week, especially in terms of tackling.”
